Job Description – Project Coordinator
Project: Cyber Spotters Thailand: AI-Enabled Online Wildlife Trade Monitoring Pilot
Organization: WWF Thailand
Duty Station: Bangkok (with coordination across Thailand)
Contract Duration: July – December 2026 (with possibility of extension subject to funding)
Reporting To: Wildlife Crime Program Manager
Potential project Partners: Government stakeholders, CSOs, and WWF network
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Cyber Spotters Thailand pilot, ensuring project activities are delivered on time and in coordination with government agencies, technical partners, universities, volunteers, and civil society organizations. The role focuses on project coordination, stakeholder engagement, volunteer management, reporting, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination and Implementation
- Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of project activities in accordance with the approved workplan and timeline.
- Support operational delivery of all project components, including:
- Cyber Spotters programme establishment
- Volunteer recruitment and onboarding
- Training workshops and stakeholder consultations
- Monitoring and data collection activities
- Dataset development and annotation workflows
- AI system pilot testing activities
- Track implementation progress against milestones, outputs, and deliverables.
- Ensure timely coordination between WWF Thailand, WWF Network partners, technical consultants, and government stakeholders.
- Support procurement, logistics, scheduling, and administrative arrangements for project activities.
- Identify implementation bottlenecks and escalate issues to the Project Lead with recommended solutions.
2. Stakeholder and Partnership Coordination
- Serve as the primary coordination focal point for project partners.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and consultations.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
3. Volunteer and Training Coordination
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and communications.
- Support delivery of training, orientation, and capacity-building activities.
- Ensure safeguarding and ethical monitoring protocols are followed.
4. Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
- Maintain project records, trackers, and documentation.
- Collect implementation data and support progress reporting.
- Document lessons learned, risks, and adaptive actions.
5. Operational and Administrative Support
- Coordinate travel, workshops, procurement, and logistics.
- Support budget tracking with the finance team.
- Ensure compliance with WWF procedures and data protection requirements.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, programme implementation, or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects involving government agencies, NGOs, universities, or international organizations.
- Experience working with government enforcement agencies or conservation networks.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Experience with project monitoring tools.
- Professional proficiency in Thai and English.
