Consultant – Entrance Renovation of the SMART Patrol Monitoring Center for the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP)

Background:

WWF Thailand and WWF Foundation have a longstanding partnership with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) to strengthen conservation efforts, enhance protected area management, and support the implementation of SMART Patrol systems. Over the years, WWF Thailand and WWF Foundation’s collaboration with DNP has contributed to improved patrol operations, capacity building, and overall effectiveness in safeguarding Thailand’s biodiversity and natural resources.

In line with this collaboration, The SMART Patrol Monitoring Center, on the 11th floor of Si Nakharin Building, is the central hub for coordinating and monitoring SMART Patrol operations across 237 protected areas. WWF Foundation recognizes the importance of upgrading the center’s entrance and front area to enhance visitor readiness, reinforce its professional image, and strengthen its role as the national hub for patrol management, contributing to long-term conservation and sustainable resource management.

Purpose of the Assignment:

The consultant will renovate the entrance and front area of the SMART Patrol Monitoring Center to enhance its functionality and aesthetics, create a welcoming space suitable for internal and external visitors including government and partner representatives, and strengthen the center’s professional image as the central authority overseeing SMART Patrol operations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Renovating the entrance and front signage structure measuring 2.78 m × 6.90 m.
  • Constructing the wall structure with reinforced wooden frames and 9 mm gypsum board.
  • Laminating the sign surface and installing letters and logos made of Plastwood (PLASTWOOD).
  • Installing electrical systems and LED lighting for decoration.
  • Ensuring design and construction quality aligns with the center’s professional and official standards.

Deliverables:

  • Completed entrance and front area renovation according to specifications.
  • Design and construction documents, including photos of completed work.
  • Maintenance and operational guidance for the renovated entrance and signage.

Duration:

  • Expected start date: 1 November 2025
  • Expected completion date: 31 December 2025

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in construction or renovation of official/government facilities.
  • Ability to manage design, construction, and installation within the specified timeline.
  • Legally registered entity capable of executing the work.
  • Compliance with relevant laws and government procurement regulations.
