The resources on this planet belong to everyone, especially children who will grow up to be adults in the future. The Eco-Schools project is a way to help introduce and give children the opportunity to learn and understand the importance of the environment, how to manage the environment, and give them the opportunity to create changes starting from school in order to create sustainable resource use in the future.
The Eco-Schools project is an international environmental education project that can be used as a guideline for managing schools to become schools of sustainable education and environmental management through the integration of participation and learning from action, starting from the restoration of the environment in the school to the surrounding community.
The Eco-Schools project has 7 steps. You can choose from 9 environmental topics: Health and Well-being, School Environment, Energy, Water Resources, Climate Change, Waste Management, Global Citizenship, Transport and Biodiversity. In addition, we have the Eco-Schools Award criteria to certify that the selected schools have implemented the project according to international standards. For a school to be successful in the project, the school administrators and staff must support the project implementation because the project has been continuously implemented for 2 years and must receive cooperation from all parties in the school, especially giving opportunities for students to participate in every step of the project activities.
