Forest

Forest conservation is a way to protect natural resources and important biodiversity, helping to maintain the ecological balance and reduce the extinction of wildlife and plants that are at risk of disappearing from the world.

Forests in Thailand cover approximately 31% of the total land area, with approximately 40-45% of the land area under agricultural cultivation. However, agricultural expansion and land use changes for agricultural purposes have contributed to the reduction of forest areas, which are one of the major factors in the destruction of the environment and biodiversity.

WWF Foundation and its work to restore forest ecosystems

WWF works with the private sector, government, and especially communities to support sustainable agriculture, including sustainable rubber plantations, to conserve forests and provide communities with alternative ways to live sustainably with nature .
